The beginning of probability

The throwing of dice began the modern pursuit of probability.

In 1654, mathematicians Blaise Pascal and Pierre de Fermat exchanged letters on dice chances leading to the creation of a mathematical theory of probability.

We have them to thank for the possibilities of fields like Insurance and Meteorology among many others.
